The Nationally focused club was officially incorporated according to legislative requirements, after we worked to gain authorization and support from Piaggio SpA Italy, along with the local Australian distributor.

The Club’s head office is located in South East Queensland, with plans underway to establish branches in every state and territory in Australia.

Meet The Club Executive Committee:

Ron Janjua, President:

Ron aka ‘Kublai’,  is a lawyer, university lecturer and business consultant with an almost obsessive passion for Aprilia motorcycles, and tinkering on machines.  Ron’s vision for an Aprilia club was formed after realizing one did not exist for Australia, and were a very rare occurrence globally.

Deciding that this needed to change , Ron persisted in his spare time with late-night phone calls and emails to company executives in Italy from late 2016 to 2017.  Eventually, he put the club on the map with the help of the rest of the AOCA committee and the blessings of Piaggio and Aprilia.   His garage has a well ridden, modified loud and self-serviced 2001 RSV1000 Mille, which he has vowed never to sell, along with an even louder heavily modified 2014 Tuono V4 that also isn’t left alone.   An avid rider, he insists on commuting on his bikes, isn’t concerned with km’s devaluing a bike, and loves nothing more than clocking the k’s by getting lost on two wheels with a lightly packed bag and riding for days on end, finding places that serve a good cider and a spot to sleep so he can do it all again the next day.

Stephen Musgrove, Vice-President:

Steve, aka ‘Skippy’, is a sales rep in the construction industry, who’s always got a grin on his face, and a funny story to tell.  He’s been riding for decades, loves watching the races, talking about his bikes, telling riding stories, or travelling anywhere in the world to attend a Motogp race or any other motorcycle event.  The Aprilia’s in Steve’s garage include a blue 2016 Tuono 1100 V4, and a 2001 Black Falco 1000 and he’s damn proud of them!

Ben Chadwick, Secretary:

Ben aka ‘Chaddy’ is a business owner, mechanical draftsman, and avid Italian motorcycle fan.  He has a weakness for buying motorcycles and his garage is sometimes overcrowded with some awesome machines, but that keeps him smiling.  Ben loves the track, watching the races, riding to new locales, and enjoying a nice glass of scotch.  He owns a deep red 2014 RSV4 that burns through tyres, and likes having the front wheel in the air.

Andrew Whaites, Treasurer:

Andrew aka ‘BadZen’is a psychologist, and once made a t-shirt proclaiming “My other one true love is my Mille”. He wobbles around on a 2002 RSV1000 -  his favourite form of therapy.  Andrew loves track days, finding that lonely twisty road in the middle of nowhere, leading to a pub with a pint and a chicken parmy, or simply just staring at his mach
